About Rhianfa House
Holiday Cottage
We bought Rhianfa at the start of 2021 in the hopes to restore it back to a loved home. Located in Rhoslefain, it is surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK. Waking up to views of lush fields and a picturesque seascape, it is truly a treat for the eyes.
There are many opportunities to get in touch with nature and appreciate the natural environment. Rhoslefain is on the coastline of the Snowdonia National Park so there are plenty of outside activities and scenic routes to take in the diverse Welsh landscape.
We have been documenting the renovation so you can see the progression of the build, from where we started to where we are now. We are accepting bookings on Airbnb, so please contact us if you are interested. We look forward to you booking a holiday with us and enjoy this beautiful country as much as we do.
About the Owners.
The house was built around 1880 as a school masters house for the old school. Louise and Keith brought the property in January 2021. The building had been standing empty for several years and had become quite dilapidated and uninhabitable. They wanted to bring it back to its former glory, restore and upgrade into a place to be enjoyed by themselves and others.
The house, named by the previous owner as Rhianfa, is located perfectly if you want to see the natural beauty of North Wales. Situated by the coast in Rhoslefain, it is close to neighbouring beach towns and the beautiful Victorian estuary town of Dolgellau.
The house has the Wales Coastal Path a few minutes walk from the doorstep and also sits on the Snowdonia 360 route, a 360 mile tour that goes through some of the most stunning locations in North Wales.
There are many other outdoor activities that you can do around the area, with the popular seaside village of Aberdyfi providing water sports; The Dyfi Bike Park and Coed y Brenin providing mountain bike trails and the Talyllyn steam train providing a more gentle way of getting around!
There is also a wealth of walks to explore that take you through castles, over mountains, (Cadair Idris is a 12 mile hike away) along beaches, up waterfalls and around lakes; hopefully something for everybody!
